How to update a 7x5 module's firmware on a VM-1020 using a VFC controller

Environment

  • Product Family: Transportation
  • Product: VM-1020 Display
  • Components: 7x5 mod 0P-1332-4251, flash drive
  • Control System: VFC

Steps

  1. Download the micro boot load & ram load boot load and files from DakFiles.
  2. Upload the firmware to the controller.

Updating locally with a Flash drive:

  1. Put the firmware top level (not in a folder) on a flash drive.
  2. Insert the flash drive into the back of the VFC.
  3. Log into the VFC.
  4. Select Shared.
  5. Select Update.
  6. Select Display.
  7. Select the ram load file.
  8. Once the ram load finishes, repeat steps 4 and 5, then select the micro file.
