Audio Not Working or dropping out On DMP-8000

Symptoms

  • Able to get audio to work, when playing file with audio on Windows Media Player on the same machine, but when playing it through the DMP-8000 Player not able to get audio
  • Sometimes audio will stop by then drop out
  • Made sure the default audio device is set to Blackmagic

Environment

  • DMP-8000 / Vnet
  • Blackmagic

Cause

  • Unsupported Blackmagic driver (10.6)

Resolution

  • Blackmagic Driver 10.8.5 has been tested to resolve this issue and will start shipping with new systems soon.
