Steps

  1. Select the Playlist tab from the Venus Control Suite menu.
  2. Create a new playlist by following Venus Scheduling: How do I create a playlist in Venus Control Suite? or click on an existing playlist to edit.
  3. Add the desired media file(s) twice into the playlist by clicking the plus sign twice or dragging and dropping the file into the media files twice.
  4. Under Media Files, click on the thumbnail of the first piece of content.
  5. Click Set Custom Date Range from the Playlist Item Constraints window.
  6. Enter in the last date you would like content to run all day.
    • Example: If the event is at 6:30PM February 8th, enter in the Final End Date for the first piece of content as February 7th.
  7. Click Confirm.
  8. Under Media Files, click on the thumbnail of the second piece of content.
  9. Click Set Custom Date Range from the Playlist Item Constraints window.
  10. Enter in the day of the event for the Initial Start and End Date.
    • Example: If the event is at 6:30PM February 8th, enter the Start and End Dates as February 8th.
  11. Click on Set Custom Time Range.
  12. Under Daily End Time enter the time of the event or the time you would like content to stop running.
    • Example: If the event is at 6:30PM February 8th, enter the Daily End Time as 6:30PM.
  13. Click Confirm.
  14. Click Save at the top to send to the playlist changes to the selected display(s).
    Note: Only Active playlists will be sent to the selected display(s).
