Scoreboard is blank, No POST; Loose or disconnected power harness

Potential Symptoms

  • Scoreboard is blank.
  • Does not go through POST.
  • The driver power LED is dimly lit, and all others are off.
  • Scoreboard is getting 120VAC in and power supply outputs measure correctly.
  • Digits may intermittently light and blank.
  • Power cycle may temporarily resolve digit outage for a short period of time.

Cause

  • Power harness on the driver is disconnected or not making good contact.
    • Power pins are lose on J17 for gyrus driver.
    • Corrosion on J17 plug.

Resolution

  • Reseat/repair connection from power harness to the driver. 
    • Repair lose power or ground pins in 12 pin harness plug.
