Environment

  • DCS (Daktronics Communication Server)
  • Colorado Captioning / VITAC

Steps

  1. Engage your IT department to open the appropriate network pathways provided by Caption Colorado.

  2. Update the new Caption Colorado IP address in Daktronics Communication Server or DCS.

    1. Open the DCS application.  This is typically located on the DSTI computer.
    2. If DCS is not already running, double click on the icon on the desktop and open it.
    3. Click on the Ports button along the left side of the application screen. 
    4. Right-click on the Caption Interface port to edit.
    5. Input Port Setup
      1.  Port: Type in the correct port number  as provided.
    6. Click Edit.
      1.  In the Edit Address List window , click Edit.
      2.  In the Edit Address window, type in the correct address. Entering the description is optional.
      3. Click OK to save the address, and click OK once more to save the address list.
