Unable to VNC to replacement VNet, DMP-8000 but can access webconfig

Symptoms

  • Unable to VNC to replacement VNet, DMP-8000.
  • Can access web page of VNet.

Environment

  • Replacement VNet / DMP

Cause

  • VNC not installed

Resolution

Copy UltraVNC config through Windows shares.

  1. Connect to
  2. Connect to "C:\" shares on remote computer by performing the following:
    1. Go to Start > Run
    2. In the Run box type \\computerIP\c$ and press enter (where computer IP is the IP address of the computer you are trying to connect to ie. 192.168.0.111).
  3. Navigate to the UltraVNC install directory - Program Files (x86)\UltraVNC.
  4. Copy ultravnc.iniultravnc.ini into the install directory.
  5. Reboot the computer for new settings to take.
  6. Verify access to DMP thru VNC.
