  • How do I scan for the best available channel on a Shure QLXD4 Digital Wireless Receiver?

Environment

  • SSR-100, SSR-200, SSR-300, Custom Rack
  • Shure QLXD4 Digital Wireless Receiver

Steps

  1. Ensure the Shure wireless microphone or body pack is turned off.
  2. Press the MENU button on the receiver to access the scan function.
    1. If multiple receivers are present and networked together, pressing MENU a second time will bring up the Network scan option to allow one scan to choose frequencies for all connected receivers.
  3. Press the ENTER button to start a frequency scan. The scan icon will flash while in scan mode. When the scan is complete, the selected group and channel appear on the display.
    1. For a Network scan, press the ENTER button again and frequencies will populate to all connected receivers.
  4. Turn on the wireless microphone or body pack (generally called a transmitter).
  5. Press the SYNC button on the receiver. The red IR LED will blink indicating that sync mode is active.
  6. Align the IR sync windows of the transmitter and receiver at a distance of <15cm (6 in.). When the transmitter and and receiver are aligned, the red IR LED remains on and the sync will automatically occur.
  7. Sync good appears on the display when IR sync is complete. The blue rf LED will illuminate indicating that the transmitter is within range of the receiver.
    • Note: If the IR sync fails, repeat the IR sync procedure, carefully maintaining alignment between the IR windows of the transmitter and receiver.
