Potential Symptoms

  • Several modules blank on Vanguard display
  • power supply making clicking sound

Environment

  • VF-2XXX Series display with LVDB/P

Cause

  • Failing power supply (power supply 1).  Cycling on and off rapidly so power redundancy not activating properly, i.e., modules not using power supply 2 voltage because power supply 1 isn't off/failed long enough

Resolution

  • Replace power supply assembly (power supply with LVDP)

Work Around

  1. If no spare power supply available, turn off breaker for power supply 1.  Replace power supply once spare on hand.
