Prices will not update with the POS; Failed POS port on DM-100

Potential Symptoms

  • Can update prices manually, but not through the POS.
  • When using a different DM-100, prices will update through the POS.
  • Port may be physically broken or damaged.
  • DM-100 shows a different price than POS system and fuel pumps.
  • Com Diagnostics test displays "Incoming Data..." but does not show data stream.
  • No POS status option in DM-100 Diagnostics menu.
  • DM-100 fails loopback test on POS port.

  • Product: FL-2000 price displays, FL-3000 displays, FL-4500 displays
  • Component: DM-100 with 2 serial ports.
  • Control System: POS

Cause

  • Bad POS port on the DM-100.

Resolution

  • Replace DM-100.
