Fuelight, Entire display blank or flashing with garbage information, Incoming voltage incorrect

Potential Symptoms

  • Single pylon setup with multiple price displays are either blank or turning on and off displaying random information. 
  • No boot up sequence on displays after power cycling. 
  • No control of any display.
    • May be able to only control the Master driver.
    • May have very intermittent prices changed.
      • EX: All prices update only on boot up or prices end up changing after a long delay.
  • Insufficient power measured before the display's transformers/power supplies - Less than 120v.
  • High neutral to ground voltage reading.
  • Site repeatedly experiencing power supply failures after only a few weeks of operation.
  • Breaker is tripping.
  • A sign may be dim.

Cause

  • Incorrect voltage being sent to the displays. 

Resolution

  • Contact your local electrician to correct the incoming power issue. Displays need to have a dedicated power source sending 120v.
