How to Manually Dim a Display Run by a VIP-4060 / VIP-5060

  • How do I control dimming manually through the VIP 4060/5060?

Steps

  1. From your show control computer, open Internet Explorer.
  2. On your favorites bar, you should have a shortcut for your VIP 4060/5060. Click on that shortcut.
    1. If you do not have a favorite on that bar, you can navigate to the 4060/5060 by typing in the IP address in to the navigation bar in Internet Explorer.
    2. For DIP-5060's, add port 85 to the end of the IP address. e.g, 192.168.0.160:85

  3. Once the page opens click "Log In." There shouldn't be a password for the 4060. If there is, contact the Daktronics Helpdesk at 1-866-343-6018.
    • For 5060's, you will get a separate login in window that pops up over the web interface page.
      • If the username and password are not already saved, please contact the Daktronics Helpdesk at 1-866-343-6018 to request the username and  password.
    • Click OK

  4. On the next screen, in the bottom right corner of the main screen, set the dimming mode to Manual.
  5. Once the drop down is on Manual, adjust the slider to the desired level. Wait a few seconds for the change to appear on the display after each adjustment.
