Steps

Note: Reference How to set up Stat Crew with the All Sport, DSTI, and Venus 7000, DD2167389 for more information on Stat Crew and DSTI setup.
  1. Open up TAS for Volleyball software.
  2. Selection Options (if menu is not up, press Esc) to bring up the
  3. Set Full subs to Y (Yes).  Press [Enter] to go through each field until the menu closes; pressing [ESC] will not save the changes.

  4. Under "Match Setup" > "Remote display" > "Terminal Type," select Scoreboard as the Device Type. Do not use the Daktronics option.

    • You may also want to double-check that the Incoming and Outgoing data format in TAS Comms is set to "Scoreboard"
  5. Return to the main application screen, and select In-Game Scoring once more.
  6. Since Auto-connect (from step 4 in older versions) is turned on, a notification to start the interface will now appear. Press [Y] and then [Enter]. Auto-connect tells TAS to begin updating the "comfile" which sends data to DSTI.

  7. Open a competition by going to File > New game. Game information can be entered under Game Setup > Teams.
  8. Enter in starters by pressing [G] for game Scoring

  10. Enter in Starters for both teams
  11. Enter a play to create the "comfile" output that will be used by TasComms32. Plays are entered by selecting Scoresheet > Input.
  12.   Make sure the comfile is being updated: 
    • Locate the comfile in the program folder for the Stat Crew software. c:\tasvb\.
    • In Explorer, go to View > Details and look at the modified date of the file. The modified date should reflect the time when the game was opened.
