Relay take off platforms (RTOPs) do not work

Potential Symptoms

  • RTOPs not responding. Configuration in OmniSport console is correct.
  • The red LED on the RTOP's gray electronics box is not flashing.
  • Other inputs such as touchpads and buttons work as expected.

Environment

  • Product: Relay Take Off Platform (RTOP)
  • Component: Relay Take off platform (RTOP) Sensor
  • Control System: OmniSport 2000 console

Cause

  • Battery powering the RTOP's gray electronic box is dead.

Resolution

  1. Unplug the RTOP button from the lane module or deck plate.
  2. Open the RTOP's gray electronic box. Make sure no water intrusion is there.
  3. Change the batteries. Close the box lid and tighten it well.
  4. Plug the RTOP button to the lane module or deck plate. Make sure the LED is flashing now.
