Resolution
- Run Display Finder from a computer on the same physical network and subnet as the sign or components.
- Display Finder can be downloaded from https://dakfiles.daktronics.com/downloads/Venus1500/utils/DisplayFind/ if it isn't on the computer already.
- Display Finder Version 1.3 and newer do not support Windows XP. If needed on Windows XP, an older version is needed, reference DisplayFind on Windows XP receive error DisplayFind is not a valid Win32 application, DD3208942.
- Note: If Display Find utility is crashing on a Windows 10 OS, Display Find can be set to run in compatibility mode as Windows 8. This can be set under properties of Display Find.
- Click the "Adapter Name" drop down and select the adapter being used to connect to the sign or the network it is on.
- Click the Find Displays... button. Any found Daktronics components will be listed in the box below.
- Any found device listed will turn into a link when mouse over and can be clicked to open it's web configuration in a browser window.
- If multiple components are found and you have physical access to them, the DHCP/ MAC sticker on the back of the device can be used to identify the specific one you are looking for. The DHCP name will begin with "M4" or "DAKT" as seen in the image below.
