"The display's password is incorrect" Alert in Venus 1500, Password is unknown or doesn't match
Potential Symptoms
- Receiving "The display's password is incorrect" error within Venus 1500 v4.
- In earlier versions of Venus 1500 v4, alert may read: "Not Authenticated", or "Authentication Invalid".
- In earlier versions of Venus, the Nucleus error log shows an operational error: "The HTTP request is unauthorized with client authentication scheme 'Basic'. The authentication header received from the server was 'Basic realm="gSOAP Web Service
- May receive an authentication error when trying to publish messages if display was set up manually.
- Receiving a prompt for Authentication code after auto discovering the display in Venus for the first time on a new computer/hard drive but current password is unknown.

Cause
- Password on controller does not match what is set in software. This may occur for a couple different reasons.
- New computer with a fresh installation of Venus 1500 v4 software.
- May also occur with a Windows OS update, such as Win7 to Win 10 upgrade.
- New controller/player was installed into the sign.
- Controller password was cleared while troubleshooting, and was not reapplied.
- New computer with a fresh installation of Venus 1500 v4 software.
