  • How do I set a static IP address on a GP3, GP4, or GPC display?

Environment

  • Product Family: Message Displays
  • Product: GalaxyPro, GP3, GP4, GPC
  • Component: DMP-4060, DMP-8000, DMP-8065, DMP-8060, Daktronics Remote Display Configuration (DRDC)
  • Control System: GalaxyPro

Resolution

Step 1:  Access the configuration page for the display.

  1. Make sure Java and Silverlight are installed and updated.
  2. Open a web browser.
  3. Type the IP address of the display in the address bar.
  4. On the remote display configuration screen type the password for the display in the box.
    • GP3 "DMP-4060" will not have a password by default.
    • GP4 or GPC will have a default password that can be located in the display installation quick guide.
    • If a different password was set during the initial setup with Venus 1500 software use that password.
  5. Click on the Log In button to access the display configuration.

Step 2: Change the Network settings to the desired IP settings.

  1. Click on the Configuration tab and then select Network.
  2. Change the active port (default is Port 1) that is being used to the desired IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway.
  3. Click on the Send Configuration button on the left toolbar. (See screenshot below).
  4. Log out of the web interface by clicking on the red X on the left toolbar.
