Display is stuck at 32 degrees or showing E3; Failed temp sensor

Potential Symptoms

  • Temperature stuck on 32 degrees.
  • Display showing E3.
  • Power or signal wire/s have corroded through or fallen out of sensor terminal block but unable to re-secure wiring, screw will not turn.
  • Sensor was damaged from a drop or was possibly hit.

Cause

  • Temp sensor has failed.
    • Physical damage or corrosion found on the temp sensor and/or terminal block.

Resolution

  • Replace temperature sensor card or assembly as needed.
