Duke University Upgrades Baseball Experience With Daktronics LED Video Scoreboard

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Mar. 22, 2019 – Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, has partnered with Duke University to design, manufacture and install a new LED video scoreboard at Jack Coombs Field in Durham, North Carolina. The installation was completed in early in 2019 and is ready for Blue Devils baseball this season.

The new outfield video display measures approximately 23 feet high by 35 feet wide and features a 15HD pixel layout, the same technology that is used at numerous professional baseball stadiums. The display provides crisp, clear imagery with wide angle visibility to appeal to every seat in the stadium. Industry-leading environmental protection keeps the display operating through wind, rain and sunshine.

"The new video display at Jack Coombs Field will bring a new feel to the already great stadium experience for Duke baseball fans," said Corey Williams, Daktronics sales representative. "It's an honor to build upon our long-standing partnership with Duke University."

The display is capable of variable content zoning allowing it to show one large image or to be divided into multiple zones to show any combination of live video, instant replays, up-to-the-minute statistics and game information, graphics and animations, and sponsorship messages.

In addition to the equipment installation, Duke will also receive a content package that will be produced and delivered by Daktronics Creative Services.

Daktronics has grown with the sports industry from the company's beginnings in 1968.
