Doral Brings Large Daktronics Video Display to New Development

CityPlace Doral and The Related Group install more than 700 square feet of high definition LED video

BROOKINGS, S.D. – June 20, 2017 – CityPlace Doral and The Related Group partnered with Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, to design, manufacture and install a large LED video display at their new mixed-use development in Doral, Florida. The display was installed this past spring and is mounted to the curved exterior of the third floor, overlooking a courtyard and fountain at one of the fastest growing and busiest destinations in the Miami area.

The display measures approximately 20.5 feet by 36 feet wide for a total of nearly 740 square feet. It features a 13HD pixel layout and Daktronics city louver, a display face enhancement that provides pristine contrast while offering exceptional viewing angles to people below.

Capable of live and recorded video, graphics and other messaging, the display advertises self-branding, tenant promotion and high-end retail advertising.

The installation also includes Daktronics control system and a video camera to support live events such as fashion shows where models can walk down a runway and be shown on the video display in the background. Movie nights and other special events are also possible with this technology.
