Venus Media: How do I confirm that my content will be pixel accurate to my display in Venus Control Suite?

Steps

  • Venus Control Suite will, by default, automatically scale your images to fit into your display size, even if they are much different in size. 
    • This option gives the ability to validate that all the content in a playlist is the correct size or aspect ratio for the display you have selected before you save your playlist.

Enable playlist validation

  1. Log on to Venus Control Suite. See: How do I log into Venus Control Suite?
  2. Navigate to the Scheduling app and click on the settings ⚙️ from the lower left corner.
  3. Under Account, click On for playlist validation. 
  4. Choose from pixel accurate or aspect ratio validation and Save.

Create a playlist with playlist validation enabled.

  1. Create a playlist.  See: How do I create a playlist in Venus Control Suite?

  2. Add media files.  
    Media that does not match up with the displays pixel size / or aspect ratio (depending on what was chosen.) will be underlined with a dotted red line.  

  3. Save the playlist.  

    1. With the playlist validation enabled, the playlist will not be savable with incorrectly saved content.  

  4. Any content that is not sized properly will need to be removed from the playlist before saving.
