⚠️DO NOT ATTEMPT TO "UPDATE" TO AN OLDER REVISION. This creates a new restore point of the current version and the "update" will fail, leaving you stuck at the current revision.

Updating through version 31.1 to a higher version requires an operating system update, extra steps are required for this. Reference the KB, 6000 Processor: Operating System Update Process.

Steps

Getting started.

  1. Confirm that HDD isn't full. See: 6000 Processor: How do I confirm hard drive space on via user interface?
  2. Log in to the user interface. 6000 Processor: How do I log into the user interface?
  3. Save the restore points.  6000 Processor: How do I restore settings in the DI-6000 or VP-6000 through the user interface

Update the firmware.

  1. Locate and click on the 6000-firmware tile on the dashboard.
  2. Click on Controller and Update...

  1. Navigate to the latest bundle-kadoka-system file and select Open.
  2. Follow any screen prompts to finish the update.
    • UX may change and generate errors during updates.  This is normal until the P2k cards finish updating.  Check the lights on the P2k cards to view progress.
    • Do not reboot or power cycle 6000 processor until all P2k cards have green lights on the back - processors with multiple cards may take several minutes to complete update
For explanations of the activity and color of the indicator lights on the P2k cards on back of the 6000 processor, please see6000 Processor: What do all indicator lights on the P2K card represent?
