Steps

Locate the backup the receiver card file

Removing Receiver Card

  1. Remove module with receiver card. Refer to How do I remove a module from a DVN-4003 display?, DD3802882 for further instruction.

  3. Disconnect power and signal cabling from receiver card. (Nova Star A8's card type)
  4. Loosen and remove the four screws from each corner of the receiver card.
  5. Gently lift the receiver card to unseat the connectors and remove it from the hub card.

Replacing the Receiver Card

  1. Align the receiver card with the corresponding connectors on the hub card.
  2. Apply gentle pressure to seat the connectors.
  3. Insert and tighten the four screws into each corner to secure the receiver card to the hub card.
    Note: To avoid damage, do not overtighten the screws.
  4. Connect power and signal cabling and return module to display. Refer to How do I replace a module in a DVN-4003 display?  for further instruction.

Load the backup config:

When replacing, the primary backup files can be used for the backup card.  However, do not use that config for another display.  This will cause: NovaStar: Display looks checkered or garbled after hardware changes

Be noticed: It's recommended to use the same version of NOVA LCT in the process, the version that was used to make original configure file. Usually name of the original configure file will tell the version of NOVA LCT it used.

  1. Log in- How do I log into the NovaStar NovaLCT-Mars Sender Box?
  2. Use admin to login the Nova LCT-Mars
  3. Click screen configuration icon  and then select the load configuration.

  4. Click Browse to the file on the desktop and load .scfg file.
  5. Click next to load the backup file.
  6. The configuration should have been done.
