How to configure a new Lantronix device using Telnet

Steps

  1. Log in to the Lantronix device via Telnet using port (9999).
  2. In the telnet configuration page go to "Change Setup.
    1. Select #0 (Server Configuration).
      • Set or change the IP Address, subnet and gateway for the device.
        • Subnet will need Hosts bits, See note 2.
    2. Select #1 (Channel 1 Configuration).
      • Set or change the Baud Rate to 19200 for a Galaxy display.
      • Set I/F mode to 4C.
      • Flow Control will be none or [00] then press enter.
      • Connect mode should be [C0], if not adjust to C0, then press enter.
      • Set the Port to [03001] then enter. 
      • Remote IP Address [None]. 
      • Remote Port [00000].
      • Then the rest of the configuration just press ENTER until get to save the configuration.
      • Press [9] and then [Enter] to save and exit the setup mode.
