Will my messages stay up on my display when I disconnect my communication equipment?

Question

  • Will my messages or content stay up on the display/message center when I disconnect the communication equipment from my computer or other communication equipment (i.e. serial cable, radios, etc.)?

Environment

  • Galaxy, Galaxy Pro
  • AF-3150, AF-3160, AF-3165, AF-3180, AF-3190, AF-3197, AF-3200, AF-3220, AF-3400, AF-3500, AF-3550, AF-3700, GPR, GPC, GP3
  • Electronic Message Center (EMC), Marquee, Electronic Message Board (EMB), Display
  • M2, M3, & M4 Controller based products and DMP-8060 & DMP-8065

Answer

  • Yes, the content you send/publish to the sign will remain on the display regardless of communication equipment being connected.  The message center has internal memory that stores the content so that once the content is out at the display, it will continue to play for the duration specified by the schedule (i.e. 24/7 or from start date & time to end date & time).
