Section of display out, power line to a power supply is damaged

Potential Symptoms

  • Section of the display is blank.
  • Power supply is not running.
  • Replacing the power supply doesn't help.
  • Seeing 120VAC where the power leaves the terminal panel to the power supply.

Environment

  • DB-2000
  • DB-2100

Cause

  • One or more of the power lines in the cable between the terminal panel and the power supply is damaged and electrically open.

Resolution

  • Cut out damaged wire and reconnect if possible if it can be done without splicing.
  • Replace the cable if necessary.

Work Around

  • Repair the wire by splicing if need be.
