Unable to navigate anywhere within Venus Control Suite except for the Dashboard in Google Chrome

Potential Symptoms

  • Unable to navigate anywhere within Venus Control Suite except for the Dashboard in Google Chrome.
  • When clicking on Media Library, etc. Venus Control Suite just sits there, doesn't load anything.
  • When pressing [CTRL + F5] after clicking on Media Library, etc. then the page properly loads, but not able to access Dashboard or any other page again.
  • Pressing [CTRL +F5] is the only way to access another page within Venus Control Suite.

Environment

  • Venus Control Suite
  • Google Chrome Web Browser

Cause

  • Issue with Google Chrome cache is not allowing links to properly work in Venus Control Suite.

Resolution

  • Clear Google Chrome cache.
    1. Click the Chrome menu on the Google Chrome toolbar. The icon looks like this: 863882.png
    2. Select "More Tools" and then click "Clear Browsing Data."
    3. In the "Clear Browsing Data" box, click the checkboxes for "Cookies and other site and plug-in data" and "Cached images and files."
    4. From the "Obliterate the following items from:" drop down box, select "the beginning of time."
    5. Click "Clear Browsing Data."

    6. Log into Venus Control Suite and verify full functionality is present.
