    Steps

    1. Obtain a copy of the background image to be used in the design.
    2. Open an existing working XML template file. --->Default.zip Download
      1. Note: Save the original template file to an external drive as a backup.
    3. Edit the parameters in the template to match the desired design of the scorebook image.
      1. Utilize the green comments in the picture below to understand the formatting.
      2. Alpha Transparency layer; If the drawn PNG files need an Alpha Transparency layer edit the Objects/Brush tag adding the Alpha 0 for RGBA.

    4. Save the template.xml and the sample background image to a new team name folder and place in the following folder: (It is recommended that the new team name folder be named that same as the corresponding template.xml file.  Each template will require a folder for its xml and png file)
      1. On a system running Windows XP place the files in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Daktronics\Scorebook Generator\Templates on the computer with the Scorebook Generator software.
      2. On a system running Windows 7 place the files in C:\ProgramData\Daktronics\Scorebook Generator\Templates on the computer with the Scorebook Generator software.
    5. Open Scorebook Generator and click Edit Configuration. Custom templates will be listed in the Template Type dropdown list. Background Sample.JPG

    Note: if you are having issues with font size not increasing past a certain point, check your PlayText and Try2PlayText bounds in the configuration file.
