SmartLink showing Offline, Mezz Card Locked Up. Reset SmartLink w/Direct Communication Tool

Cause

  • Radio lockup on SmartLink.

Resolution

DB-4200 w/ SmartLink Monitor App

  1. Open the SmartLink Monitor App.
  2. Click the Reset button on the SmartLink Monitor App.
  3. Under the Settings tab of the SmartLink Monitor, click on Get Status.
  4. Click back on the Status tab, and verify the Signal Strength is now present.
  5. Log into SmartLink website, and verify SmartLink is now showing Online.

DB-5000 - DB-6400 w/VIP Direct Communication

  1. Login to the webconfig via IDM fusion link or local web browser.
  2. Perform a reset of the SmartLink device as shown below depending on which version of the UI is in use on the VIP.
    • Legacy UI
      1. Select Power Relay Control under the Tools tab
      2. Select the Reset button at the bottom of the pop up window.

    • New UI
      1. Select the Configuration tab.
      2. Click on Peripherals, then select Reset Power Control at the very bottom.
