Daktronics Motorsports Interface (DMI), Line Sender produces error connecting failed

Potential Symptoms

  • When using Line Sender to transmit from one computer to another with Daktronics Motorsports Interface (DMI), Line Sender produces error connecting failed.

Cause

  • TCP listen is disabled and a connection IP of Orbits configured setting DMI as the TCP host.  Line Sender is also a host where there can only be one.

    Resolution

    • Make note of the IP settings in DMI.
    • Enable TCP Listen in DMI.
