Diagnostic Alert: PLR Hardware failure

Potential Symptoms

  • May be visual or non-visual error.
  • Hardware Failure event on PLR in IDM.
  • Communication failure alert may be present in IDM.

Cause

  • PLR has failed.
  • The ProLink Router (PLR) is not operating correctly and is likely not routing video to its modules correctly.

Resolution

  1. Run the PLR self test. How do I perform a PLR-6050 self test? .
  2. Capture the error codes on the PLR seven-segment display.
  3. Replace the PLR and include the error codes when sending it to be serviced.

For Temporary Operation

  • Power cycle the PLR.
  • Ensure PLR Firmware is up to date.
