All Sport 5000; DakStats or Stat Crew will update player fouls on stat panels but they are not updating on main scoreboard.

Potential Symptoms

  • DakStats will update player fouls on stat panel but they are not updating on main scoreboard.
  • Stat Crew will update player fouls on stat panel but they are not updating on main scoreboard.
  • Player foul displaying on the main scoreboard does not match that player's fouls displaying on the stat panels.

Environment

  • All Sport 5000 version 4.0.3 and higher
  • Stat Panels model:  SD-xxxx
  • Scoreboard with individual player foul digits for most recent player/foul
  • DakStats or Stat Crew

Cause

  • Either "TEAM SCORE- MODE / UPDATE PLAYER" or "TEAM FOULS- MODE / UPDATE PLAYER" are set to YES.
    • Default settings of a new All Sport:
      • TEAM SCORE- MODE / UPDATE PLAYER = N
      • TEAM FOULS- MODE / UPDATE PLAYER = Y

Resolution


Automatically update main scoreboard's player-fouls via Stats program:
  1. Press [MENU] > scroll down to Edit Settings? > scroll down to "TEAM SCORE- MODE / UPDATE PLAYER ?" > press [CLEAR/NO].
  2. Scroll down to "TEAM FOULS- MODE / UPDATE PLAYER?" > press [CLEAR/NO].
If you prefer, you can have the All Sport operator update the main scoreboard's player-foul digits if the referees request a quicker display:  
  1. Verify in the All Sport team score and team fouls update players are enabled.
    1. Press [MENU] > scroll down to Edit Settings? > scroll down to "TEAM SCORE- MODE / UPDATE PLAYER?" > press [ENTER/YES].  
    2. Will then see "TEAM FOULS- MODE UPDATE PLAYER?" > press [ENTER/YES].   
  2. While the stats operator will input a player foul, the All Sport operator can quickly update team and player fouls on the main scoreboard using All Sport console.
    1. In the All Sport press [TEAM FOULS +1] for HOME or GUEST.
    2. All Sport operator will see the running total fouls count for that team display for a brief second then be prompted for "[GUEST/HOME] PLAYER" jersey number. 
    3. Input the jersey number and press [ENTER/YES].
    4. All Sport operator will see the updated running total fouls count for that player display for a brief second then be returned to the main game in progress, GIP view.
