2.  If just bypassing the field wiring and rack switch:  (This tests the field wiring.)

  1. Unplug the 5 pin Phoenix Plug where the field wiring comes into the cabinet, and lift pins 4 and 5 from the connector, and place a jumper across the 2 pins, then reseat the phoenix plug.

3.  If bypassing the indicator card completely:  (This is to determine if the LED Indicator card is bad.  If card is bad, it is OK to leave cabinet in this state.)
  1. Unplug both XLR connectors from the indicator card and plug them together.
  2. Remove the phoenix connector from the indicator card TB2 and TB1.
  3. Remove the 2 wires on TB2 and connect them to the wires on TB1.  (Do not insert back into the indicator card.)  Polarity doesn't matter.
  4. When this is done, the polarity of the switch in the rack will now be backwards, so the ON state will be OFF, and vice versa.
  5. Order part number S-1220 Normally Closed (NC) switch block to replace switch block at announcer's rack.
