​San Diego State University Selects Daktronics for New Marquee Displays

Double-sided LED display promotes SDSU near freeway​

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Mar. 4, 2016 – Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, has partnered with San Diego State University (SDSU) for a double-sided LED video marquee located near the freeway in San Diego, California. Daktronics manufactured the displays and worked with SDSU and San Diego Electric Sign on this project to bring the designs to life this past fall.

"They understood our needs and issues along with the complexities of having a sign adjacent to a major freeway and provided a solution that addressed all these aspects. The construction and installation went smoothly and the design of the new sign was executed flawlessly by both Daktronics and San Diego Electric Sign."

These outdoor LED marquee displays each measure approximately 19 feet high by 38 feet wide and feature a 20 millimeter line spacing. Combined, they provide more than 1,400 square feet of video-capable display area for promoting campus events and sponsored messages.
