Peoria Sports Complex Receiving Large 13HD Display from Daktronics

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Jan. 26, 2017 – Peoria Sports Complex, the spring training home of the San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners, is receiving a large LED display and audio system upgrade this spring in a partnership with the City of Peoria, Arizona, and Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota.

The new 2,100-square-foot LED display will be the largest display in baseball's Cactus League and Grapefruit League as well as the first to feature 13HD LED technology commonly used at the highest level of sports for outdoor applications.

The new display will be installed beyond the left field fence of the ballpark. It will measure approximately 35 feet high by 61 feet wide and feature a 13HD pixel layout to provide high-resolution, crisp imagery. It is capable of variable content zoning which allows it to show one large image or to be separated into multiple zones to show any combination of statistics, graphics, sponsorship messages and other information sports fans have come to expect at every game.

The upgraded audio system includes fully-distributed sound to provide fans with a complete audiovisual experience when attending events. The system provides full-range sound reproduction and delivers clear and intelligible speech for a powerful overall audio experience.

"We're looking forward to bringing new technology to Peoria Sports Complex to enhance the game-day experience for baseball and other events," said Brady Jacobsen, Daktronics sales representative. "The sheer size of the display will bring added engagement to the game by keeping fans informed with up-to-the-minute stats and entertaining graphics. We're excited to see the final result having an impact this year."

Daktronics LED video and messaging display technology features industry-leading environmental protection for a long lifetime with consistent performance and low power consumption, providing value and excitement for years to come.
