Football Season Kicked Off With Video Display Content Provided by Daktronics Creative Services for 11 Professional Teams
BROOKINGS, S.D. – Oct. 4, 2016 – Months of behind the scenes preparation and dedication have resulted in 11 professional football teams kicking off their seasons with custom content produced by Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) Creative Services of Brookings, South Dakota.
"We're always excited about the start of football season to see the content we've been working on over the last few months come to fruition in front of the fans cheering in the stadiums on game day," said Daktronics Creative Services Manager Trisha Schuver. "We take pride in collaborating with each of our customers to provide engaging, affordable and quality content customized to fit their needs within the necessary timelines."
The New England Patriots enlisted Daktronics to create more than 20 animations for their main displays, ribbon displays and "Gillette" channel letter display. Sponsor activation was a large part of their request. A total of 14 unique sponsor bumpers were created to introduce various video features from a sponsored song of the game to a sponsored kick of the game.
The Patriots also relied on Daktronics unmatched experience with long, narrow ribbon display content for new game prompts for 2016 including "Get Loud," "Crank Up Your Volume" and, their most recognizable motivating saying, "Do Your Job." Daktronics team was able to create the content in a way that brought two displays, near in proximity, into the illusion of one digital canvas with elements of the animations moving between the two displays as though they were one. This effect adds even more life to the digital content.
In Kansas City, the Chiefs asked Daktronics to create specific graphic pieces to highlight the loudest stadium in the league, welcome messages and templates for player headshots. Their team relied on Daktronics to take their vision and bring it to life for their game-day production.
"The Chiefs came up with a specific look for a few pieces of content this year and turned to our team to execute and develop for their displays," said Ethan Sevilla, Daktronics account manager. "We executed beyond their expectations and delivered everything prior to the start of the season. After successfully bringing their visions to life, the Chiefs came back and asked for us to produce more content for this season. We're currently working on it and look forward to seeing it entertaining Chiefs fans on game day in Kansas City."
For the new video system in Tampa, the Buccaneers relied on Daktronics Creative Services for content and support leading up to the season. It also included content coordinated across multiple displays within each end zone for maximum effect on game day. Read the Buccaneers news release for more details.
The Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Rams, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants, New York Jets and San Francisco 49ers also received various forms of digital content from Daktronics Creative Services for the 2016 season.
