Fashion Show Mall Installation Brings Home AV Award For Daktronics

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Oct. 6, 2016 –Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, was presented the 2016 AV Award for Retail Project of the Year thanks to the now iconic installation for Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas, Nevada. The AV Awards took place on September 30 at Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

The project receiving the award consists of 10,000 square feet of LED video displays reaching 112 feet at its tallest point as part of Fashion Show's Plaza that fronts the property along Las Vegas Boulevard. It includes LED video columns, billboard, marquee pylons and curved indoor LED video displays to welcome people to Fashion Show's largest retail destination featuring two million square feet of retail space. The project also features 69 speakers on 68 amplifier channels capable of 48,000 watts at maximum output to coordinate with the video content for a full audiovisual experience.

The video displays feature more than 12 million LEDs to create more than four million pixels across 7,000 LED modules to provide 281 trillion colors for high contrast, vibrant imagery.
