Daktronics Delivers Professional Services, Equipment for U.S. Air Force Academy's Falcon Stadium

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Aug. 31, 2016 – After a significant video display upgrade in 2015, U.S. Air Force Academy once again called on Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, for additional signage at Falcon Stadium near Colorado Springs, Colorado, for the 2016 season. Air Force also opted for a professional services package from Daktronics including creative digital content and on-site event production for football, men's and women's basketball, hockey and volleyball events.

"We are excited to bring our professional services, and specifically our event production solution, to such a storied institution as the Air Force Academy," said Mark Eisenstadt, Daktronics professional services manager. "Our partnership will result in furthering the entertainment value and production quality at Falcons events beginning with the first football game this weekend."

Creative content in the form of logo animations, matchup graphics, backgrounds and crowd prompts will be produced and delivered at the request of Air Force to meet the needs of their facilities and events.

A new video display was installed in the opposite end zone measuring 30 feet high by 49 feet wide, featuring a 13HD pixel layout and having the ability to show live video, instant replays, statistics, animations and sponsor messaging.

Above the new video display is a unique LED freeform channel letter sign as part of a stadium sponsorship. It can show color washes and other interesting graphics to bring the letters to life and highlight the sponsorship on game day. The letters measure 8.5 feet high by 33 feet wide.

"This is a landmark project in college football as Air Force has installed a digital audio façade and channel letters made from freeform LED elements in back-to-back years – not to mention new video displays in each end zone," said Eric Cain, Daktronics sales representative. "The stage is set for some fantastic events and an exceptional fan experience at Falcon Stadium, and we're proud to help them achieve their stadium goals."

Air Force joins Bell Centre, Iowa State University, James Madison University, MetLife Stadium, South Dakota State University, University of Florida and University of Georgia as Daktronics customers receiving on-site event production and support during their live events.

Daktronics offers a variety of professional service solutions and support options, fully customizable to meet the unique needs of any customer. These solutions range from the technical or operational side to creative elements and overall business considerations.
