Venus 1500 Training Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I find out which version of Venus 1500 I have?
   Go to your computer desktop to determine the version of Venus 1500 control software you have. If you have version 3.12, you'll have a gray box with "Venus 1500" and four buttons. For version 4, you'll see an icon with an orange "V" with blue circles around it.
   
   
   
2. How do I find my display size and/or product family?
   Both can be found in a couple clicks using your Venus 1500 software.
   
   Version 3.12
   1. Open the Venus 1500 software.
   2. Click on "Administrator."
   3. Click the display in the left window.
   4. "Type Configuration" in right window shows the display's name (product family), height, and width.
   
   Version 4
   1. Open your Venus 1500 software.
   2. Click on "Configure display."
   3. Click on your display.
   4. Click on "Edit display."
   5. The product family, height, and width of your display will appear. Your display size is the height and width.
      
      
      
3. How do I find my Daktronics order number?
   To find you order number, you can
   
   
   • Look in your display documentation for the job number. The job number is your order number.
   • Contact your sign company.

4. What do you need to to participate in a webinar or web seminar?
   • Web browser
   • Internet connection (56K or higher recommended)
   • Telephone (headset or speakerphone recommended)
   • Venus 1500 software installed (recommended)
