Theatre Le Grand Rex wanted to link its 1932 building with 21st century technology, while still conserving the elegance of the façade. The displays had to be curved to match the shape of the building and be easily accessible.

Daktronics manufactured and designed two vertical and three custom, curved displays to match the shape of this landmark movie theatre. Fixed banners, previously used for promotion, were removed and replaced with the new displays.

Every hour a theme, relating to the current season, will repeat on the two vertical displays. Snow falling, a beach, underwater views and blooming flowers will all be featured.
