The Americana at Brand Conceptual

Development leaders for The Americana at Brand wanted a landmark that would add an aesthetic ingredient to the development. They envisioned this landmark transforming from a rustic, motionless steel structure by day, into a stunning visual array of color changes by twilight. Additionally, they wanted to coordinate the landmark with an extravagant water fountain placed in The Americana at Brand central courtyard.

Boston-based Elkus/Manfredi Architects erected a tall, steel-beamed spire on top of the main elevator tower overlooking the central courtyard. To make this spire stand out at night, Caruso Affiliated chose Daktronics' ProPixel® stick technology. ProPixel stick elements can be set at specific intervals along the length of the stick and are the ideal choice when long, thin lines of pixels are desired.
