Cable Management and Circuit Distribution

Wireways

The wireway system consists of two independent pre-engineered and tested per application wireways. The high voltage wireway delivers protected power points to each hoist in the system. The bottom wireway distributes all low voltage control wiring and network through pre-terminated pigtail drops.

Loft Blocks

Vortek wire rope loft block sheaves are injection molded from high strength, glass-filled Nylatron® which is less abrasive than steel sheaves. Injection-molded side plates reduce weight and the loft block housing fully encapsulates the sheave for dirt and debris protection plus intrusion prevention and safety.

Cable Management & Circuit Distribution

The strength and flexibility of these systems efficiently handles lighting cables. Changing burned out lamps or focusing lighting fixutres are now safer and easier to manage. Vortek systems with high lifting capacities and slower speeds (limited to 20 fpm) are best suited for these applications.

A-14 Aluminium Battens

Vortek battens are lightweight yet have a rigid design with multiple termination options. Allowing up to 29 ft (6.1 m) between lift centers, battens are ideal for wider stages and house light or as the backbone for front of house lighting pipes. Other uses include curtain track, electrics and scenery batten.

Double Purchase System

Daktronics double purchase systems are ideal when lifting objects as heavy as 4000 lb (1814 kg). The systems typically lift large electric battens, orchestra shells or ceilings and heavy sets and trusses. Configurations are available with
all Vortek Classic hoists.

I-VP Curtain System

Conveniently control horizontal curtain movements within the rigging system. Accurately open and fly main stage curtains with a single cue.
