Past Intern Experience:
I was a Purchasing Intern. This experience gave me real world business experience. I was given responsibilities and ownership that I was counted on to do my job. I was surprised how much responsibility I was given as an intern to make things happen and could see the results in my efforts at Daktronics.

How did the internship help in your current position?
The internship gave me a broad sense of the company and a perspective on the operations of Daktronics. Even though I am in the sales area, the general knowledge on the internal systems and processes have allowed me to better understand what has to happen following an order.

Other Relevant information:
I had a great experience and was offered a job following graduation. I stayed at Daktronics for two years after graduation and then left to work at the South Dakota State University Athletic Department for eight years before coming back to Daktronics on the sales side. My experience allowed me to be considered for a job at SDSU and then allowed me to come back to Daktronics where I have been for the last twelve years.
