Stew Leonard's Makes Family Decision
Norwalk, Connecticut
The Challenge
"Our main hope with the new display is to have a more reliable message center."

Stew Leonard’s
Stew Leonard's, the world’s largest, family-owned dairy store faced a challenge.
The Norwalk, Conn., facility had an irreplaceable component fail from a digital display of another manufacturer.
"We didn't want to lose the ability to service our display, so we chose to upgrade," said Tom Lindley, facility manager at Stew Leonard’s. "Six or seven years ago when we purchased another manufacturer's display, I was also in contact with Daktronics." This time Tom contacted Daktronics to begin the process of installing a new display.
The Daktronics Solution
A Daktronics representative met with Stew Leonard's and provided demos of various displays that were available for their location. Once Stew Leonard's finalized a decision, action was taken, and they immediately began installation.
Stew Leonard's GalaxyPro® LED display advertises products and upcoming events and deals. "Our main hope with the new display is to have a more reliable message center," Tom said.
"As a technician, I like the fact that the sign is really self-contained," Stew Leonard’s support services manager, David Beggs said. "We don’t need anything other than the sign and a computer with the software on it." This enables David to manage the sign from anywhere.
Thanks to their positive experience, Stew Leonard's decided to explore the possibility of installing two, double-sided displays at their Danbury, Conn., location in the near future.
