The Challenge

According to Plastic Arts Signs president Jon Navarro, Pace Assembly had an old changeable copy board that needed to be replaced and updated. So Plastic Arts designed a sign to match the building, and the church decided to modernize and purchase a digital display. But they wanted one that would take advantage of the heavy traffic flow on the highway right by the sign.

The Daktronics Solution

According to Pace Assembly's media director Greg Broxson, the church chose Daktronics after comparing the sign to another company's product.

"It came down to the size of the display," Broxson said. "After much discussion decided to go bigger and better. The other company didn’t have a display this size."

Navarro said that his team had a fast installation with the sign.

"We had it up and working the same day that the main sign was installed. It's the best looking sign out there."

Broxson likes that the display is able to show multiple events at the same time, but he also said the ability to use video footage is one of his favorite features about going digital.

The church also uses the display for certain community events. The Church Bookstore recently helped promote a T-shirt fundraiser for the support of the local high school principal. The advertisement on the new sign brought in many customers who were driving by. The sign was so effective that Pace Assembly sold the most shirts out of the three or four locations the shirts were being sold.
