Attracting Attention to Businesses
DAIRY QUEEN, MADISON, SD
"The customers absolutely love it. We keep our daily specials up on there, and we also run time and temp. We get a lot of comments from the customers. I see people driving by that look at it, and when people pull into the parking lot they look at it."

The Challenge
DeLon Mork remembers what it was like to change his old sign. "Sometimes the letters would get frozen to the sign and in an effort to get them unstuck the letter would crack, or sometimes the sign might even break. That, and you'd be out there in the cold and wind trying not to fall off the ladder."
Mork said he started looking at Daktronics when the college in town, Dakota State University, was looking for investors to bring a new sign to the football field. "I really started looking at the liability of the sign we had and how, if I wasn't at the store, I'd have to send one of my employees out to change the letters."
The Daktronics Solution
When Mork decided to purchase his Daktronics display, all his fears of liability from the sign vanished.
"It's hooked up to my PC, and I can change the display ten times a day if I really want to," he said. "It's safe and it's reliable."
Mork said that his business has increased, and he is sure that the sign contributed to the increase.
"For every five comments we get in a month about the sign, I'm sure there's 20 other people who didn't say anything."
