The Challenge
Brookwood Baptist Church recently decided to take on a renovation project, customizing the church premises to match their growth. They wanted a sign to direct people to their location and inform them about the variety of events and services that their unique church has to offer.
"We want to get the message out to people that not only do we have our worship center, Vacation Bible School, and concerts for the community, but we also have a mission-oriented coffee shop that purchases directly from a village in Rwanda that also receives all the profits," said Shane Reed, Worship & Communications Pastor at Brookwood Church.
The Daktronics Solution
Shane knew that a digital display was the way to go, so he and other Brookwood Church members began their research. "This is a very large expenditure, and we want it to last ten or more years down the road. After doing my research, I called Daktronics and they got me in touch with the local sales rep," said Shane. "He was extremely helpful and along with the sign company, they helped us find the display we needed."

Brookwood Church has already greatly benefitted from their display. Since they are located off a private road parallel to the highway, the entrance to the church is sometimes difficult to find. "We couldn’t put our sign next to the entrance, so it was important to be able to show visitors how to find us," said Shane. "The display also allows us to give directions, as well as promoting events, worship times, and the hours of our mission coffee shop. We can also direct people to our website and Facebook pages so that they can check us out online."
Daktronics helped make part of the church's renovation run smoothly. "Everything from the easy use of the sign to Daktronics' phenomenal customer service has been fantastic," said Shane. "I really couldn’t pick just one favorite feature."
