When Joe James was preparing to open an Arby's restaurant in Brookings, South Dakota, he knew he wanted a sign that would help keep business flowing and also help promote the local college and high school.
The Daktronics Solution
According to George Menke, co-owner of Pride Neon Signs out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, James had previous experience with Daktronics displays.
"We've done a number of different locations for them in Sioux Falls and in Chamberlain (South Dakota)," Menke said. So when James had another Daktronics board installed at the new location, he knew he was receiving a quality product and installation.
James said one of the reasons he wants to invest in the display is to save his
management team some time. "I like that the managers can change the board from inside the shop. It saves them time, and it is also more convenient, especially in the winter. It's also nice that I don't have to worry about broken letters."
James said that in addition to running Arby's daily specials, he also likes to promote the schools, welcoming back students or wishing them good luck at the next sports venture.
Menke said that Pride Neon continues to sell Daktronics products because of the quality.
"We've done several installations with Daktronics products and the beauty is that they basically sell themselves. They're very well received and in terms of liability and advertising the customers seem very happy with what they get."
