Upstage Video Keeps Music Fans Stomping Their Boots at WE Fest with Daktronics Video Screens
BROOKINGS, S.D. – August 22, 2011 – WE Fest, an annual country music festival held just outside of Detroit Lakes, Minn., recently pulled in more than 48,000 music fans for a 3-day festival featuring musical giants like Miranda Lambert, Willie Nelson and Lynyrd Skynard to Brad Paisley and Lost Highway. Fans didn’t miss a beat or detail of their favorite acts with this year’s enhanced sound, lighting and high-definition Daktronics (Nasdaq-DAKT) LED video screens.
Upstage Video, one of North America’s premier rental and staging video suppliers, worked with We Fest organizers to construct the modular LED video screens for the event. The two 15’ H x 24’ W Daktronics PST-12HD displays hung right and left stage to provide the audience close up views of the action. The displays ran live video footage, advertisements and event information throughout the festival.
“Everything went very smoothly and the set up was very easy,” said Doug Murray, President of Upstage Video. “We worked with the organizers prior to the event to create custom rigging for towers that were already on site — the product went right up and looked fantastic.”
