San Jose State Upgrades Spartan Stadium with Daktronics Integrated Sound, Video, and Scoring System

San Jose State UniversityBROOKINGS, S.D. – October 20, 2011 – San Jose State University opened the football and soccer seasons with two new displays designed and manufactured by Daktronics, Inc. (Nasdaq – DAKT) of Brookings, S.D.

“This upgrade to our stadium helps us stay the course as we enhance our Culture of Champions and our commitment to our athletics programs,” said Tom Bowen, Director of Athletics. “Daktronics has been great in working with us during this design and installation process and we look forward to a new offering for our fans and sponsors.”

The main Daktronics display measures approximately 24 feet high by 35 feet wide, and will provide the Spartans with new and valuable entertainment capabilities. The display will allow for live video and instant replays, graphics to excite fans and promote sponsors, and showcase in-game statistics.

The second display is an integrated LED football scoreboard and audio system. The Sportsound® 1500HD sound system provides full-range sound reproduction and delivers clear and intelligible speech. The 1500HD provides a powerful audio experience for the fans. Daktronics audio offers high quality audio systems that can integrate with dynamic displays in indoor and outdoor sport venues.
