River Spirit Casino Outshines the Competition with Daktronics High-Tech LED Video Signage

Three Unique Daktronics Video Products Featured in One Exclusive Project

BROOKINGS, S.D. – April 2, 2009 – Today, standing out from the crowd in the highly competitive gaming industry and making a statement early and often is of the utmost importance. Tulsa, Oklahoma's River Spirit Casino, the new Creek Nation Casino, understood this when they contracted to install several LED video displays from LED display manufacturer Daktronics Inc. (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, S.D., last November 2008.

Recently, with the help of the Claude Neon Federal Signs, the manufacturer provided Oklahoma's newest, state-of-the-art casino with an integrated LED video display solution that rivals the LED signage architecture seen in Times Square and Las Vegas.

Visitors entering the new casino during its grand opening on March 31st couldn’t have missed River Spirit’s stunning marquee display. Three dynamic Daktronics LED video displays line the middle of the custom marquee, helping welcome and inform guests at the front of the property. Together the three displays span more than 50 feet and wrap around both sides of the marquee.

Located directly beneath the main video displays, two curved LED ribbon boards, measuring approximately 56 feet each, wave in and out around the marquee display. Even more, Daktronics ProPixel® freeform puck elements creatively light up the word "Casino" on both sides of the marquee in a way traditional neon signage could only dream of doing.

Complementing the overall LED extravaganza, a series of Daktronics ProPixel freeform stick elements quietly enhance the entire sign structure. The freeform elements highlight several of the marquee's horizontal features that help emphasize the entire marquee. However, River Spirit Casino wasn’t finished there. Eight-feet-tall channel letters spanning 34 feet illuminated with Daktronics ProPixel freeform LED puck elements also line the River Spirit Casino building. After all was said and done, Tulsa's River Spirit Casino became the first Daktronics installation to use three innovative Daktronics video product lines at the same time.

The new, $195 million, 300,000 square-feet River Spirit Casino features modern amenities that mirror the bright lights and lavish facilities that trademark Las Vegas' casino properties. The casino also boasts one of the state's largest gaming floors, 2,800 high-tech machines, 24 table games, 15 poker games, four dining venues and the uniquely designed Mystic River Lounge. Dining is second to none with guests enjoying a wide variety of dining options. Ranging from Rain Bay Café, a 24-hour quick snack shop, to the upscale Elements Steakhouse and Grille— there’s literally something for everyone.
